Twenty-five members of the JR Motorsports Office Staff and Race Team helped make holiday wishes come true for some lucky youngsters in North Carolina this December. Along with the help of members of the Pit Board Charity, twenty children from a local shelter were treated to an evening filled with food, Santa and shopping!

The event started out with a limousine ride to JR Motorsports in Mooresville, NC. Once inside the race shop, the kids were treated to a pizza party and a visit from Santa, who handed out stockings overflowing with great gifts for everyone. After telling Ol’ Saint Nick all their holiday wishes (and posing for a few photo ops), the kids loaded back into the limo for a shopping trip to the local Target store. Each child was given a gift card for $150 to purchase gifts for themselves and members of their family and was paired with a special “Jr Elf” to help them shop for their holiday goodies. The JR Elves also helped them wrap gifts for family members (and provided a few extra ‘slushies’ at the Target snack bar to cap off the evening).

At the end of the night, the limo was packed full of tons of great presents and lots of smiles (and some very excited children)! For the past several years, the California-based non-profit organization, The Pit Board Charity (PBC), has raised money throughout the calendar year to fund this special event at JR Motorsports.
